2 month old tank, brown algae growth advice

Hello everyone. My tank is 2 months old and I just upgraded my lights to two HD Primes and I am noticing a significant growth in brown algae and some other colors. What are the recommendations for removing it or leaving it etc. Is there something I can dose to remove it or is this healthy and just part of the finishing steps in my cycle.

Yes I have a good clean up crew. 6 Nessarius, 6 Trocus, 1 fighting conch, 1 emerald, 4 blue legged hermit, 2 red legged, 1 twin spotted Goby. (40 gallon tank)

I am new to the hobby so fire away.

Diatoms, Very common in new tanks, largely due to silica. Should go away on its own

Firstly, welcome to the hobby!

Ok so personally, I wouldn’t dose anything. There are different stages a tank works through and it eventually stabilizes. Throwing chemicals at it can hinder the process and could set you up for a bigger problem down the line. It’s best to let it take its course. In a new tank, there is ample space and everything is competing. It just takes a while for things to balance. What you have are probably diatoms. They will go away on their own. It may bother you to look at but they are harmless.
