2 month update on 55gal corner. Is all this algae normal?

Yes, brand new tank, dry rock, live sand. Just added the corals this week.

Just let it sort itself out. How long will depend on your tank but a few weeks give or take!

New tank uglies. Reduce white brightness a little. Will help subside it.
I do not see presence of clean up crew. I would recommend 4-5 turbo snais, 2 trochus, 2 nerite, 2 Astrea and 2-3 nassarius and about 6-8 blue or red leg hermits

Pigment changes on white rock = looking good and expected. But when gha shows up, growths that extend off rocks, you should lift up the rock and kill it off outside of the tank, do not hesitate don't tinker with adjusting water. That above is normal but if grazers still allow tank wrecking algae in a few more weeks then u be the grazer and prevent tank takeover for a year where you hate the system or make uglies explanations to people who see it. They want to see a clean tank, so do you, you have the choice to hand garden or take the one year detour

Those growths are the foundations that cyano and gha attach to, coming up in x weeks but simple hand guiding removes the dangerous takeover portions of your rock maturing from all white to solid purple coralline.

I have about 10 hermits in there somewhere, And two turbos, I had four but two of them died and I don’t know why

Turbos will die if :
Lack of food/food source
Improper acclimation. I place them in small bucket and add cup of water every 15 mins X6 (1.5 hours) before introduction.
Aggression from tank mates
Too high or low salinity

I'm going to my LFS today, i'll pick up a couple more Turbos and Hermits.

What do you guys normally do to your back glass? Or in my case since its a corner tank, the two sides?

Just let algae grow? Or clean the sides as well as the front?
