I have a 4’ 90g mixed reef. 1 MP40 on left wall, 2 MP10 on right wall side by side, and a RW8 down low to control dead spots. Would you keep the MP10s or trade for another MP40? Thanks

Just ordered another MP 40. I will update when I get it set up.

Fumbles, how did the second mp40 work? I'm setting up a mixed 75 gallon peninsula. I was planning on a mp40 on return side then 2 mp10 along the long side and low to eliminate dead spots.

I’m very happy with it and glad I switched. It makes more turbulence at less power. I contemplated keeping an mp10 for dead spots but the jebao does just fine.

I have a 425xl reefer which is basically the dimensions of a 48" 90g. I have 1 mp40 (centered) and 1 mp10 (off center towards back) on reefcrest mode on one side and one mp10 (off center towards back) on the opposite side on short pulse mode. I am very happy with this set up. The mp40 provides main flow while its mp10 counterpart kills dead spots along back wall up to overflow box. The mp10 on short pulse creates a small "wave" and keeps detritus suspended to allow for skimming while also killing dead spots along back up to the other side of the overflow box.
