2 mp10 vs 1 mp40

I just bought a 425xl redsea reefer (47" × 22") that came with 2 mp10s. I already own 1 mp40 so the tank currently has 1 mp40 and 2 mp10 running on it. If I can trade 2 mp10 for 1 mp40 in order to run just 2 mp40 would that be better? Which set up would you prefer?

I'd run what you have and work on the random placement to generate the best flow.

Make sure you use the wire supporting sticky tabs to protect your MP10 drysides from crashing to the ground. Their max glass thickness rating is 3/8” glass. The MP10 wetsides notoriously decouple from the dry sides when turned up too high on Red Sea Reefer tanks because of the thicker glass.

I have a 4’ 90G and had the same dilemma. I decided to just trade for another MP40 and am happy with the results. I also have a jebao down low to control dead spots.
