Hello everybody,

hope you’re all doing well.

I’ve decided to set 2 new nano aquarium(50x50x50cm) besides my main tank to use the for quarantine and/or emergencies.

Do you think that it’s acceptable or healthy to make them both work into the same sump ? (Just trying time reduce cost and used area)

Waiting your suggestions, thanks a lot.
Best,

Certainly. Just remember, while you have two tanks it really is one bigger system when designed this way. An option, giving you a lot more flexibility, would be to divide the sump into two separate sections with two smaller return pumps, particularly if you go with a DIY sump. This way you can treat in one tank and quarantine in the other, for example.

Best,
Supposedly diseases from QT can travel airborne up to 10 feet. Be weary having your QT next to your DT; at the very least, use a glass lid with no gaps

Thanks for your contribution.
it’s so nice to have two tanks like that but that will double the budget, especially for the sump, I’ll need double equipments.
