Hello everyone

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me to I’d these two critters that have shown up in my tank. All my parameters seem to be within spec and I have dipped all coral before putting them in my tank. Also whether these guys are helpful or hurtful and if they are bad how to deal with the situation.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions

thanks for the advice. they do appear to be some form of snails but I never put any in my tank. Would they possibly be hitch hikers from something? and should I try to get rid of the snails and the worms?

The spiroid worms often come on rock and coral plugs - they are harmless. Some people don’t like how they look on the rocks but in my opinion they add to the tanks biodiversity and will decrease in numbers as the tank matures

The snails can also come on rocks and frag plugs - can you get a less blurry shot? Most snails are harmless algae or detritus eaters but some can be parasitic or predatory. My guess is those snails are algae eaters - google Trochus, turbo and astrea snail and see if the look like those

Thanks for alllthe replies! I pulled a few of the snails out to get a better pic. Also I am getting my dad a small tank to and was going to give him a piece of rock to get his tank cycled. Is this still a good I’d with these guys in my tank?
