2 Part and Carbon

Hi,
Would carbon, known for removing chemicals, affect or reduce the 2part CA and Alk dripped into a return section of a sump?

No, unless the compounds are not mixing in well before encountering the GAC and it is acting as a surface for ongoing precipitation of calcium carbonate.

If you think that might be the case, next time you replace it, check it visually and if it bubbles when put in vinegar.
