3 days ago I set up my new GEO calcium reactor and took my BRS two part dosers offline. My tank is stocked with small frags and a few small colonies. My demand is not near the potential that this reactor is capable of. Anyways I have a PH probe that I set to 7.75-7.80 inside the reactor and I have a kamoer perialistic pump pulling water through the reactor. I am using reborn media. I keep my alk at 9. I set the reactor to 6ml per min and 8 hours later I dropped to 8.7 which isnt terrible but I bumped the Kamoer to 8ml per min. My alk then 12 hours later went to 9.3. Now I have it set at 7ml per min and its at 9.4. Does anyone have a recommendation? I wanted to get my alk up to 9.5 with the reactor. Should I just leave it where it is and see where it stops?
Thanks!

I have the GEO 612. I run a continuous stream and set my Ph on at 7.05 and off 6.95 on my apex. It keeps my tank spot on. I test now and then because demand increases as the corals grow.

I have the old Geo big boy. I use reborn media. It holds 22 lbs of the stuff. I use a very fast drip and keep my ph in the reactor at 6.7. I cant count the bubbles for you because I use a different bubble counter. Keeps my alk around 9. I have mostly LPS. If I drop my Ph to 6.6 my alk rises to mid 9's

Have you measured the effluent? I like mine to be around 2.5 times my target dkh. I maintain a very stable pH and just adjust the flow as needed.
Only ever have a single variable.

Based on what you posted above, if it's at 9.4 at 7ml/min and was 9.3 it looks like you are getting it a bit more dialed in to maintain levels. I just switched from 2 part to a geo carx and it took about a week to fully dial it in. Make adjusts to alk with your existing two part though don't try to raise it with the calcium reactor or you'll be tuning it forever. If it stays around the 9.3-9.4 levels I would leave it where you have it now and just add some more 2 part to get it up to 9.5 if that is where you want to keep it.

Second to measuring alk of effluent though - my alk in my tank is 8.3-8.4 and my effulent is around the 20dkh ish mark.
