Hi guys i would like to know which 2 part dosing you guys are using on your tank which is good on budget as well good on coral health and growth. I do not want to use Cal reactor too complicated for me. Thanks.

You can't beat the low cost of Randy's DIY two part.

I use Prestone Driveway Heat (less than $20 for 50 pounds), and Arm & Hammer Baking Soda (about $6 for 13 pounds.) I've been doing this for ten years and still have that first bag of Driveway Heat.

I only have a simple point-n-shoot camera, so not the best picture....five foot 90 gallon DT.

EDIT.....I'm on a tablet and am having difficulty posting pictures....so here's a link to my Member's Tank thread....post 128:

Wow Paul amazing...just surfed through your thread like how you have diy'ed pretty much your entire system...this is what this hobby is all about....Thank you for sharing the knowledge...

I am still waiting to see what others have to say...

I use Bulk Reef Supplies two part. The ALK and Ca additives are easy to mix up in 1 gallon jugs. I use a salt mix that is pretty high in magnesium so I generally don’t have to fool with it.

I used BRS 2 part for years with great success. I think it's the next cheapest thing to Randy's 2 part. Recently though, I changed to a CaRx because I got tired of mixing. Once you understand how a CaRx works, it's not really that complicated.

Thanks guys I have been using Randy's 2 part receive however since I started dosing Kalkwasswer I stopped it because Kalkwasswer is enough for my tank until now. However I am suggested by someone to try ESV 2 part for great results. I am thinking I will give it a try because with Kalkwasswer there is an element of risk involved just incase if a float switch on your ATO malfunctions and honestly I want to try and eliminate as many risks as possible...What do you guys think???
