My 75 gallon reef uses .7 dKh per day.
It uses about 5 ppm of calcium.

Right now I am at 8.3 dKh and want to get it up to 9 to match my salt. Calculator shows to add ~100ml.

So, if using B-ionic 2 part, am I to add equal parts of alk and ca? 100ml of each?

It just seems to be a lot. I know others have fuller tanks and dose 1/10th that. Just confused.

Any help would be appreciated.

Well,
You have to find out how much water your holding and you'll get there.

So dose lower than 75 gallons and fine tune, until you know how many gallons you truly have, going forward.

If you were set on dKH ? on the calculator, then dose a small amout of alk to see how much it raises and just slowly take things from there.

Thank you. Yes, my DT is 92 plus a sump. So I used a calculator to take even the volume of rock into account to come up with 75 gallons.

If you don't mind:

Have you dosed since Friday, after your thread was posted?

Test and dose everyday. I have discovered my tank uses .5 dKh and 3.4 ppm CA per day. I have definitely been over-dosing.

That seems like a fine amount to dose. :)
