I’m dosing approx 60 ml of alk and 60 ml of calcium a day for approx 90 gallons. Is it possible to go back to kalkwasser? I felt like I had better results with kalk. How would I figure that?
Or would it help if started adding a small amount of kalk along with the 2 part?

Yes if you have enough evaporation to handle the extra volume that Kalk requires. I dose both. Kalk is dosed at a fixed amount well below my evaporation rate and I use 2 part to make up the rest and fine tune levels.

Are you dosing the alk component at night ? and yes you can use kalkwasser in addition to two part, you will just need to cut back your additions, this will depend on evap rate or method of dosing kalk.

I believe higher pH levels/ avoiding the drop in pH at night due to respiration can benefit coral, esp growth, nightly kalkwasser dosing, reverse lit refugiums/cheato reactors, CO2 scrubbers, can all help greatly IMO, dosing alk component of two part through the night on a doser can probably help with pH as well, how much? not sure depends on system volume and dosage.

I’m dosing through the day and night watching levels with trident, backed up by Hanna tester My alk consumption seems to change every week or two going high then going lower, never seems to stay consistent. PH runs from 8.0 to 8.4. I run pretty low nutrients (not on purpose) and dose some nitrate by hand. Alk demand might be related to that.
Would adding kalk stabilize some of the demand swings?
My Alk dkh runs 7.5- 7.8

It is definitely cost effective to dose kalk along with 2 part. You might be able to reduce by half or more. Just depends what your daily evaporation rate is.
