I don't have room in a single compartment within my stand for a sump. And, I cannot remove the dividers since they provide support for the tank. So, I want to put a refuge and filter sock on the left with a PVC overflow to the middle with a reactor, return pump and skimmer pump and an external protein skimmer on the right.

Will this work?

Looks fine to me. My filtration is also a 2- tank system. I have a 65G main sump for my skimmer, heater, and pumps, then a separate 40G fed off my manifold that is strictly a refugium.

I had something similar once I just used 1 1/2” pvc with bulkheads (2) between them and the return pump at the end.

Maybe micro bubbles from skimmer make it into return pump and tank?
My preferred layout is skimmer, fuge, return
