2 questions please help

ok first i bought i large piece of an acro at the mtrc swap from a guy for a good deal well i saw him bag it and everything and it looked a little stressed but i kept all coral in a cooler with 2 heat packs for the ride home when i opened the bag with the big acro in it it smelled bad and the water was murky looking no other bag looked like this and everything seems to be doing ok except that piece any one have any thoughts as to what could be going on? also weres a site with pictures for the ID of a crab i found in my tank that apperead to by nibbling at the same acro i pulled him out this morning when i saw him hanging on to the branchs of it.

the crag is red hard shell with hairy legs i also see some whit strips on him. very aggressiv as well while looking at him in a small bucket he is trying to pinch me through the air. so do we agree off to the fuge with my 2 lions or what i dont want to just throw it outside

it put that crab in the sump no matter what! the water thing is normal, just dont add it to your tank, corals get agitated and put out mucus or film.

If the guy who bagged it fingered it too much it will definitely slime up.
I would just get rid of the crab, a good role of thumb for acro crabs is only keep the smooth shelled ones. Any with hair or anything are bad (not saying all are but most).

the crab was a mithrax crab i tossed him in my fuge. but my acro looks bad it doesnt seem to be alive. and once i opened the bag it smelled very bad i put him in my 5 gallon bucket with 6 other corals to acllimate but did not add any of the nasty water. it looks bleached and or lost all of the tissue im unsure i have him sitting on my sand bed with my fingers crossed but it doesnt look so well. everything else is doing great o well i guess i just wish i new what happened it was treated ne different than the rest
