2 spot bristletooth tang spot

This morning I noticed this white spot on my bristletooth tang. It wasn’t there before. The fish is acting completely normal, swimming, grazing and eating. Nitrates are 10-20 ppm, nitrite and ammonia are 0, ph is 8.2 and temperature is 76.8.

What could this be? I had the fish for about 2 months, it was freshwater dipped and quarantined in hypo salinity for about 21 days, no meds. It’s been in the DT for a little over a month.

It could be. It looks like something attached to the back of the fin. It’s only on one side. Should I do a freshwater dip just in case or leave it be for now?

If the spot is white to white-ish grey and cottony in texture, it's probably lympho. Harmless virus. Kinda like human herpes. Never goes away. Best treatment is a wide variety of high quality foods, with a bit of vitamin added. For tangs and angels, I like Zoecon. And of course pristine water quality.

Thanks. It does look whitish grey. I thought it might be some sort of parasite because it is slightly elevated off the surface of the fin.
