Hey, I'll try to get a better pic when the polyps open more,
I have 2 sun corals of different species.

I am guessing the orange one might be a tubastrea since it doesn't have any branches that I can tell, and the yellow one might be a dendro since it appears to be branching...

What do you think...

yellow, with smaller polyps but branches:

orange, with larger polyps but shorter:

It’s possible. There are yellow, orange and black varieties of these beautiful non photosynthetic Tubastrea corals.

the funny thing is that tubastrea is considered an invasive species in some places; brazil and puerto rico IIRC

with the polyps just about fully extended:

you can see, definitely different growth forms, but I am still not 100% sure on the species. was now considering tubenastria cornfield or something that sounds close to that (I forget the name right now, it's late).

the yellow one, I am sad that all the polyps are not fully extending, they are extremely slow to open, taking over an hour. I hope it can pull through and make it. The orange one is doing well comparatively.
