2 tanks one sump?

Im planning out a frag tank, which will be 45 gallons. I also just took down a 10 gallon tank and I am thinking that It would be cool to attach it to the frag tank. How would I do this and does anyone else have something like this. Thanks for the help everyone :)
 
Depends on what you want to do. You could plumb them in series or in parallel based off of that decision.

As an example, you could plumb the 10 gallon above the 45, and run the sump to the 10 gallon to drain to the 45 or vice versa. Or you could run them side by side and split the sump return pump in two, with two overflows.
 
It's a common thing to do.

Basically every fish store will have multiple tanks on the same sump. The 'best' way is to have an overflow and separate return in each tank.
