I currently have a 75 running on a Synergy Reef Ts-34 sump. I built a custom 40ish gallon and was wondering if I could plumb it into the existing sump with the 75. If so how would I go about it without messing with any of the parameters. Any help or opinions would be awesome.

Essentially … you can run as much as you want and it should just be adding volume to the system . Which in therms of stability is better .

How to plumb … I would think each display would need its own overflow to regulate height .
I would either use a manifold and gate valves or 2 separate return pumps to each system .

I was thinking that myself I figured I would use a return pump for both but didn't really know with the 40 being a new tank with dry rock
