I know I have posted a version of this topic before, but I have 30 gallons of salt mix made up that’s 2 weeks old. It was made in anticipation of very high ammonia when I cycled the live rock.

Its kept in a Brute trash can with a lid in the garage. I am assuming I should make a new batch ?

Use it. It's fine. I've stored water for up to 4 weeks with no issues. BRS has a video on storing mixed saltwater. I'll see if I can find it for you.

Do/ did you have you have a circulation pump going on in trash can since you mixed ..From my experience saltwater will foul if you do not circulate the mixed water ...

No not really , I put one on every now and again but not long term. I did notice the sides of the bin are slimy to the touch.

If it was my salt I would mix a new batch if it has been that long and no pump circulating.

I actually reached out to TropicMarin. They said the mix pro reef stuff would be fine. Only their bio active salt brands would not last!
