2 weeks into cycle...

Hey everyone! Real quick cause I know most will be watching opening ceremony for the Rio Olympics. Go USA!

I'm two weeks into the cycle and this is what I'm observing. Lots of Diatom Algae, small bubbles floating up from the sand, 0 ppm Ammonia, 1 ppm Nitrite, 10 ppm Nitrate and 8.2 Ph.

Any feedback would be awesome. I'm running my DT LEDs about 6 hours per day and my LED IN MY SUMP overnight.

Diatoms is a good sign of a cycle well under way. Your numbers seem good. Are these readings after all the spikes have occurred?

Yes I've seen the spikes so they are coming down. Thinking I need to keep letting it bake. Are the bubbles coming from the bed normal?

Allow your tank to continue and finish cycling and the nitrates should drop with time. Air and gas bubbles during the cycle are perfectly normal.
