okay, so its been almost 2 weeks now of cloudy water. My water is spot on. my temp is 78.7 salinity is 1.027 / my filter pad and protein skimmer is getting a lot of the waste out. today I switched to Poly filter pad to see if that helps I'm also doing 5g water change every 7 days on my 25 g all in one. please help all live stock seem happy including corals

Your water looks clear to me.. can you describe it?

Sounds bacterial. Are you dosing anything? How’s the alk, ca and mag?
When I started the cycle I ran Microbacter7 for 2ish weeks till the cycle was done / then slowly added 2 clowns and a 6line wrasse / then added some soft corals everything live stock wise is looking healthy / I haven't been testing ALK CA or MAG yet. I'm using Brightwell salt and RODI for the ATO.

If it’s a new setup it’s a bacterial bloom. You could get a piece of rock ruble from a nice established tank. It will help with biodiversity and the bloom your having.

Yea, 12/31/20 was the 1st day it was up and running with water and dry rock.

In our tank transfers thread where we move all size reefs to new homes, they always wind up super mega clean on the other side because that’s the only way someone could produce forty pages of tank transfers without losses. Hardly any invasion can withstand how we move homes...but 250 reef tanks were happy afterwards and logged.

moving a 25 is the easiest of all, the prep for move takes about an hour tops.

so what if we run those preps, but trick the system and not relocate the tank- how would the cloudy water fare then

the number of tanks that had cloudy water after our tank move thread is zero tanks, they’re all gems. We could prep your tank for a move, reset it up totally clean where it sits using move transfer ordering from our thread.
