Im ready to order my new tank 5x2x2 495L with 2 weirs, and a 120L sump.
I am wanting the return to come through one of the weirs so will need 2 different types of overflow systems one of which will be a bean Animal and was thinking maybe a herbie for the other one which will also have the return plumbed into it
As standard the tank comes with 2x 55mm holes and 1x 34mm hole in each weir. This is my first sump setup so i really dont have a clue if these holes are the right size for what i need?
Do i use the 55mm or the 34mm hole for my return?
What is the best way for the return to come out of the weir into the tank?
Or is there a better way alltogeather to go about this?
The only reason i want 2 weirs is because I currently use a gyre wave maker and plan on having one either side of the tank eventually and think this would be best.
Any input or ideas are welcome as my head is going to explode.

Evening,

Not really sure I can visualize what you are describing. If I am following you will have 2 overflows, each with 3 drilled holes?

Is there a reason you are going for plumbing both a herbie and bean. One or the other should be enough for the size tank, bean usually being the more preferred.

The only reason for the herbie is i am going to need the third hole for the return as herbie only takes up 2
