2 x 250 MH Sunpod on a 40 breeder

I just picked up a 2 x 250 MH Sunpod with LED's and plan on putting it on a 40 breeder and have a few questions. The tank is setup for 2 levels of racks. Tank is part of a central system with another 40 breeder and 30 gallon sump with a 100+ gallon volume. Setup is in my heated shop and I do plan on a chiller.

How high do I hang the fixture?

I assume sps on the top, correct?

Should I keep the t5's on it or would it be too much light?

What would you suggest the cycling on the MH's and LED's with it being the only fixture?

With those lights, you should easily be able to keep SPS at any level. They are HQI's correct? The T5's wont make a ton of difference in terms of PAR, but will mostly allow you to adjust color. I'd hang the fixture at least 12" off of the water and run the halides for 6-8 hours.
