Hi guys I am running a MP10 on the side glass of my new reefer 250 tank. I plan on the tank being SPS dominated. Im reading that my MP10 shouldn't work on my tank cause the glass is to thick. It appears to be holding but Im afraid it might fall off now. Should I go with another MP10, MP40 or dump it for two MP40's? Thanks!

A single MP40 in a 250 would be WAY overkill. Let alone with an MP10 or another MP40. I run two Neptune WAVs in my 450, which are equivalent to two MP40's, and I run them around 20%-30%... max 50%. As long as the MP10 continues to hold, I would simply get a second one.

It's not about the magnets, but for a tank that size you'll get better mileage out of three Turbelle® nanostream® 6045's....the price difference is a nice bonus. The performance difference when I upgraded to three 6045's vs just two 6045's or two mp40's (which I upgraded to first) made my SPS much happier.
If you're comfortable in the current price category, then consider a mix of one or more Turbelle® nanostream® 6055's or Turbelle® nanostream® 6095's. One or more Turbelle® nanostream® 6040's could also be very complimentary.

I am using an MP40 and MP10 in my Reefer 250. MP10 has held on just fine for about a year now.
