Okay my electrician added a 20 amp breaker for my salt. But he added the dehumidifer and chest freezer on the same circuit and said its more than enough for my saltwater tank? I have the g5 light, 400 heater, apex, 2 wave makers. And ai refugim light.

I’m guessing that your electrician does not understand how extravagant some of our saltwater tank set ups can get

So what should i do now? Its only 36 gallons. Should i be worried or should i start it?

I’m comfortable running my tank on a single 20a breaker but I wouldn’t be willing to run a dehumidifier and freezer on the same circuit. Both of those are relatively high consumption devices.

Edit- I didn’t see the size of tank before posting. If the wiring is sized properly for the breaker then the worst that should happen is that you trip the breaker. I would turn it on and see what happens if it were me.

For what it’s worth I run 2 dedicated 20 amp circuits to all my systems. 300 gallons plus each. I do this for the redundancy in having a heater and return pump on each just in case

Same thing with the dehumidifier too.

My other 20 amp is alone connected to.my 75 gallon freshwater. Should i connect something to that to take the risk of tripping the breaker?

Sorry but I’m not sure I understand your question, anything you add to the circuit will increase the odds of tripping the breaker. I don’t know much about freshwater but I’d imagine with a 75g freshwater on a dedicated 20a circuit it should be fine. I run my 125g reef tank on a single dedicated 20a circuit without any issues. The biggest issue as I see it is that like @Spicy Reef pointed out when the freezer (and dehumidifier) start up they have much higher current draw. If your saltwater tank was going to trip the breaker it’s most likely to happen when those two devices are both trying to start.
