Hello,

I recently picked up a Nuvo peninsula tank hat was previously up and running. The live rock is cured and I have been cycling my tank for three days. I haven’t found much on cycling tanks with cured rock. Any suggestions/advice? I tested Ammonia and Nitrate the other day and received 0 PPM on both. I thought this was odd since everything I have come across on cycling tanks is it will spike and then goto zero.

What are your nitrates at?
Are you adding any ammonia source? Can try feeding some mysis, add a piece of shrimp, or even pellet food then see what happens with ammonia and nitrite. It’s also possible your tank is cycled if using completely cured rock, but probably a good idea to wait a bit longer while feeding the tank and testing.

When I tested two days ago Nitrate was at 0 PPM. So I put some mysis in yesterday, I was going to check today. I didn't put much in (how much should I put in?), as I don't have anything to eat it besides a lonely snail (Super Tongan Nassarius Snail) that I found after filling the tank up and starting it. He had quite the travel.

I’d put a cube of mysis. The nassarius might eat some too
