Hello everyone! I’m new to reef keeping and the hobby in general, but it has been an amazing experience and I️ am still learning everyday. I️ get most of my knowledge from an older woman who has been in the hobby for more than 25+ years and owns a retail store; she has been very influential on me. She shows me the way everything should be done and so far she has helped me achieve nothing but success and knowledge that I️ will share on these forums!
Well, back to me, I️ have had this 20 gal Nano Reef aquarium for about 2 months now with a couple of fish and corals, however corals are my favorite addition in the hobby. I️ started this tank on Jan. 31, 2018 and I️ cycled it with 1/2 lbs. of actual live rock (the rest was dry rock and base rock) and with this product called Stability. This product works wonders and I️ recommend for EVERYONE in the reefing hobby. Anyway, the tank took 20 days to get the nitrite levels to zero so I could begin to add some fish and corals. I️ am in love it this tank and I️ am always trying to learn and save money to purchase better equipment and livestock to make it that much prettier.
Filter: Penguin 350 Biowheel
25 lbs. of live rock
40 lbs. of live sand
1x Ocellaris Clown
1x Blue Damsel
1x Branching Ora Frogspawn Coral
1x Wall Ora Hammer Coral
1x Zoanthid
I️ feed brine shrimp daily
If you have any questions or comments feel free to post !! Nice to meet everyone !!
