So here where I live there is a noticable shortage of good anemones available so we decided to start a propagation tank. I decided to go with one of luckreef's custom tanks on ebay. He has really good reviews. The tank is 36x16x8. With a overflow. I planned to run it bare glass with marine pure bio balls. Now here is where I went a little overboard I saw the eshopps Alphafuge and and just had to have it. So I have an AF-100 20 gal coming in the next couple of days. I really like the pre installed dosing features and the float valve already being installed.

It says the max return with this sump is 750gph. So I have a question about the return pump. Do you think the Syncra SDC 6.0 WIFI Controllable Pump 530-1400 GPH would be to much for the system?

Also for lights on this it's only 8" deep so I'm thinking about going with a pendant but I would like something Wi-Fi controlled. What would you all recommend?

The build looks good so far. I think the pump will be fine, I have a syncra silent pump which is rated at 700 gph on a 20 gallon sump and the flow rate seems about perfect, you may have to dial your pump back to the lower settings but otherwise I think it will work well.

I went ahead and pushed the button on the SDC 6.0. Was able to get it for $250 not to bad.

I just need to figure out my lighting options now. I'm almost tempted to throw a couple fluval bars on there

My anemones have split the most often under my AI Prime HD. Not too expensive either usually $100 used on criagslist/eBay. I’ve got splitting nems in a 20 under the AI and a couple in a 25 under a hydra. The ones under the hydra get really big but don’t really split, the one under the AI Prime splits 2 babies every 28 days like clockwork. I like the AI Prime lighting better, I feel like it’s easier to control and the spectrum just looks better and more vibrant. Photos come out better too and idk why.

I recieved my eshopps Aquafuge today. Here is a little video of it compared to my nano refugium. I really do love these guys products.

Just bought an AI prime 16 hd I think I will go with 2 eventually however I only need one to cycle lol.

I do have a question now will that dual Hydra mounting bar hold the AI primes as well?

Well my tank arrived. It had a small crack during shipping. So they are sending me a new one. In the meantime I Started cycling the refugium into itself. Loaded it with MP2C cubes which will go in the main. And 4 biolux in the refugium chamber. I'm waiting for my AI fuge light to get here so I put my prime 16 hd down there. Also grabbed a clean ball of cheato out of my display.

I went ahead and push the button on the Apex Wi-Fi controller yesterday... Overall I am pretty impressed. Although having done hydroponics and owning a pool cleaning company they do one thing that is my absolute pet peeve that I hate. I can never understand when you pay this much money for testing equipment why do they not give you resealable containers to keep your calibration fluids in. I mean like seriously you can't just like walk down to the corner store pick the stuff up.

If you do not mind me asking can I see the light schedule you are using?

Any reason for the red?
I just like the way it makes my corals pop. I got a mangrove now as well so I’ve since turned it up more and the mangrove is reacting really well. Red grows plants so beware of algae. Red, green, and purple are mostly just for aesthetics purposes IME

Finally got a second AI Prime 16hd. Other than losing 2 fish last night to my cat discovering the tank.

So I bought a diy cover at least I have a weekend project lol
