20 Gallon High Reef Tank

Post up some numbers for us. Has anything changed in your tank recently? Give us as much info as you can and I'm sure we can figure it out :)

I got it done at the lfs so I did not catch the numbers but they told me the water checked out perfectly

Why do u think the open brains not doing good all my other corals are doing amazing.

I agree all your other corals do look great, but the Trachy is almost dead, the skeleton shouldn't be showing like it is.

Here is a pic with 2 of mine for comparison

Yes the #1 thing you can do to maintain stable levels is waterchanges each week although I do 2 waterchanges a week

You've done your homework, lol. If you get a high-quality salt mix you don't really need to do much other than water changes. Don't worry about losing a coral here and there we've all lost some.

I agree it's dying do u know how I can help it so it doesnot die maybe move higher in the tank all my water parameters are perfect

I don't think at this point it can be brought back. As Rad Reef said you win some you loose some. Lord knows I have lost my share...

So should I remove it from the tank because I don't want it to release toxins in my water. Do u know what might have possibly killed it

I would leave it, ya never know it could come back but I doubt it.

I don't remember what they cost me, I got them off of Ebay.

Cool if it dies I will be buying another because I really enjoy the coral.Do you think it would do fine if I put it on top of the rock?Do u feed your open brain coral. How do you think the rest of my corals are doing?Sorry for all the questions but I want advice from the experts.

I would leave it right where it is, moving it only causes more stress. I do feed my corals, usually my DIY food but I also do Marine Snow from time to time.

Please by all means ask all the questions you have, we are here to help!

Could I feed it mysis shrimp?Do my other corals look healthy

Yeah, from those pictures, it looks like its a goner. You can see a lot of the skeleton, which isn't a good sign.

Since This Post I Have Got Rid Of The Brain Coral And Fraged The GSP.Please Tell Me How You Like My Tank And How I Could Improve It!!

Reed
