Alright guys I have a 20 gallon long tank that has been set up for a week and a half now ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites are now 0. Everything is looking good. The only fish that I'm dead set on is a pair of black ice clowns. What other cool fish would you suggest?! This tank is going to be a reef btw.

Did you use live rock to setup this tank? Cause usually a cycle takes longer than a week and a half, if using all dry.

Yes all of the rock was live! There's approximately 20-25 pounds of live rock.

You should be good to go then. I think you could add a blenny and/or goby in there to compliment the clowns.

Do you think a mandarin would work? I've just read a ton of horror stories about them.

Mandarin would most likely not work. A possum wrasse would look great in a tank like yours or a goby paired with a pistol shrimp would also be another good candidate.

A 20g long is a little small for most people to succeed with a mandarin.

A group of barnacle blennies, an assessor, ecsenius blenny or swales basslet are a few possibilities.

First of all your tank is not even close enough to add mandarin because they eat pods...
In my opinion take your time don't add any new fish let your tank get mature....... in this hobby they is no short cuts always remember

I agree with the above... a mandy in a 20L would starve to death eventually.

So all the corals are still doing great!!! Water params are all normal! I do have a small outbreak of green hair algae on the glass but the hermits have kept it off everything else! I'm thinking of adding 2 black ice clowns this week! Also thinking of adding some nassarius snails, an emerald crab, a red banded pistol shrimp, a peppermint shrimp, and a scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp. Any thoughts?

Everything is doing great just added a bonded pair of black ice clowns and a RBTA. Never had one before but my LFS said it had to go with the clowns? Don't know if that's true or not but we got it acclimated and it's in the tank now I covered my power heads with a seachem media bag. And the anem has attatched to a rock. Can I turn the light back on or do they need to stay off?

Don't trust always what your Lfs Says.
Of course you need to turn lights back because anemone have to find his perfect spot

Ya I figured they were lying but for the two black ice clowns and the RBTA I paid $110 and I thought that was a great deal!

Haha yes that is my orange wall hammer. Here's the RBTA.

The clowns just decided they like the hammer better I guess lol

Ok so update on the tank!! I've pulled the trigger and have a kessil a160we coming in tomorrow!!! Everything is going great! RBTA is doing great and has found its happy spot and the clowns love it! I have also added a yellow watchmen goby and pistol shrimp pair! I think I'm stocked on fish, or do yall think I could add one more? As far as corals go I have 2 hammers, 3 frags of zoas, and a duncap coral. Planning on adding a cleaner shrimp and peppermint shrimp Monday. I'm thinking I may want to keep a few SPS corals like birds nest and maybe an acropora and montipora. Just wondering if would need to dose to keep these and if so what's a good dosing pump and what do I dose and how much all of the information I've read kinda confused me so just seeing what y'all's opinions and/or experiences are! Also any other suggestions you might have on the best way to acclimate my corals to the kessil!
