I've got a really good deal on the Mars Aqua 300Q dimmable LED. My questions are as follows: what kind of corals should this be best for? How much power should I use? How high above the tank? Thanks

How much power your using is based on what type of coral are you planning to keep?

300 watts? Jeez that is so overpowered lol.
I know, but I'm getting a good deal, and I was planning to use it when I upgrade. The light is dimmable, and I'm obviously not going to have it at full power.

Just picked up the light. Still wanting to know how much power I should use and how high above the tank it should be?

I think I'd start out at about 20 percent, and hang it at a height that provides the best coverage inside the tank.

Also depends upon what is currently in the tank, and how much light were you using (if anything) before?

Thanks for your response. Before this, I've had mo corals whatsoever ever, just fish and inverts. I was just using regular florescent bulbs
