20 Long or Tall

Picked up a 20 gallon tall at Petco for their $1/gallon sale. This is going to be for a qt tank. Should I have gone with the long instead? Or is the tall going to be ok? Only using this for small fish, no large angels or tangs.

Either one is fine . I prefer the long simply for the left-right swim space but they are only (hopefully!) in there for a short period before going on to a proper-sized tank.

This will mainly be used for newcomers as I’m starting a new 100 gallon.

Havent really decided yet, probably a HOB with a sponge from my sump

I returned the tall and got the long and picked up a 15 long for a hospital tank.
