I want my tank to look like a jungle with like big montis swaying lps and softies leathers shrooms zoas a wall of gsp and some caleurpa leaves and other cool large leafed and some small leafed for detail macros to accent the big corals. I am going to take what I know from freshwater aquascaping to make a beautiful saltwater scape
Don't think it's all going to fit in a 20 gallon

Nitrate dosent need tests in saltwater right? What I have heard is the chemistry of saltwater makes it not hurt stuff

nope we definitely need to know nitrate, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, and alkalinity if we want to keep corals, like LPS or SPS, and even the softies will benefit from running better parameters

Like this but with bigger structured corals and a lot denser

Oh ok. I am gonna do weekly 50% wc if I can get a trash can for storage of rodi. If I can’t I will do weekly 25% wc

I might try spikerush and sagitaria too, I wanna have a really cozy sheltered feel in the tank with lots of plants but lots of coral too

I will make it work, I was kinda being general but when I actually learn all the corals I can keep/afford I should be able to approach it fairly well

50% is tough on some corals, might be better to sticking to 20% once a week, if you dont have lps, nps or hard corals i wouldnt worry about dosing or testing calcium, mag, and alk for the at least 6 months

What do I do with the frags and macros I break off because considering my conditions I might get explosive growth imo I don’t know yet though.

In a freshwater jar with similar conditions, bright light higher nutrients lots of fresh new water I had 1 tiny piece of hornwort fill the whole jar in 1 week

Glue frags to plugs and sell it to your lfs. But I don't think you'll have to worry about it for a while

Matters the macro, some grow fast others slow

I love this style of aquascaping in freshwater and I wanna mimic it in my sw, lots of plants/coral and a land feature
