I’m keeping softies and macros so I can’t have a lot of flow.

Softies and macros like flow.

Softies need enough flow to properly shed and macros seem to grow better with good flow. Keeps them clean and such. I have a strong power head in my refugium just for the macro.

They tolerate lower flow and light but that actually doesn’t mean it is ideal.

I like adjustable poweheads like jebao if you can budget it. As your tank ages and grows, the flow needs will actually change (increase) as more corals and macro block flow. A controllable power head can grow with you and adjust based on your needs and aquascape.

If you feel a power head is too strong, that’s easily manageable but aiming it toward a glass panel to have it bounce off of or towards the surface a bit. This will slow the flow.

See, I’m right, beautiful and your now showing your talent!
Forget the stupid fish thing, your an artist.
Just change to NoahLikesArt and success is at your door.
I can’t draw a stick man so I’ll stick with reef keeping.

Is there any good options besides the 13.5? What kinds of upgrades could I make. I am thinking of getting a dosing pump for stuff
Why a dosing pump? For what? I have a Innovative marine fusion 20 which comes with pump and filter socks, and a media tray but no light and love it.

Cheaper from fijicube than from bulkreefsupply for the clear silicon version

But here is the brs one
