I'm in Cookeville too if you ever want to talk tanks, Ive got a 110 gal in my living room wall Ive been running for about 5 years. Not active in any of the forums until now, but Im thinking about joining the MTRC for frag acquisition and support.

Awesome, I would love to have a tank that big. I am considering joining for the same reasons as you. Exotic Tropicals is a good store, but they have no coral selection at all. The only problem I may face is scheduling.

It would seem I have not updated in a while. Tank has officially cycled. Did a 90% water change tonight to get nitrates in check. Seems like they are around 20ppm. They need to be lower correct? I am about to add my chemi pure elite and purigen to my filter, this will help lower nitrates correct? Have two corals on hold at lfs, just don't want to jump the gun.

Looks like your off to a good start alot of the members have frags they will sell also just a fyi

Finally got around to taking some pics. Got my first corals in a week ago tomorrow. My lfs had a Kenya Tree and Xenia frag on the same piece, also found 4 zoas of an unknown type hiding on the back as well. No pics of them opened as they still have not opened for some reason, is this unusual for them to go this long without opening? Just now starting to see some diatoms showing up. Will be going to get hermits in a week or two.
