Hello fellow R2R's,
I figured I'd wait a year before joining and posting here . My tank just turned 1 and what a year it's been! As you all know it's all blood, sweat, smiles, tears and a lot of money, but so worth it. Everything had stabilized quite nicely, and maintenance has become much easier these days.
All perimeters are excellent, and growth has been evident the past few months. Recently purchased what I hope to be the last of my lighting needs for a while, and installed a filling spout into the tank so no more buckets, ever !! That was huge. Anyway, here's a few quick stats and shots. I hope you all enjoy and I look forward to being a part of this community in the future.

205 bow front acrylic
Built in rear sump/system
Mag 18 main pump
Mag 11 for reactors (dr tims pellets)
5 kessil's (3 wide 2 narrow)
1.025
Undetectable Silicates, No3/PO4, so I have to feed corals
CA 435
Dkh 8.6
MG 1100

Thank you very much that means a lot. So much time put in keeping the coraline off the blue acrylic background, but I prefer the blue. Thank you once again .

These colonies looks really good too! What are the names of the acros (I think that's what they are) and the zoas? Did you start them both from frags? What do you feed them?

Thank you , the acros are of the green table family, the zoas I'm not positive but are quite large, they are called ruby red eye . The acros I acquired a year ago, they have really begun to branch and form a table top. The zoas are spreading all over the tank and have begun to sprout blue heads . Love them !

Thank you very much. The first year was full of ups and downs as you can imagine, but the tank had turned the corner and worked out the kinks on its own. Thank you all for your compliments and I look forward to participating here as much as I can. Everyone enjoy their day

Welcome and beautiful tank. Im willing to bet some of that blood and sweat went into getting it right so dont give the tank all the credit on getting itself right lol

Thank you all very much, and what a wonderful welcome . Its nice to be in the company of other hobbyists . Reflecting back on the time spent, all the little things you learn and techniques you master, it's amazing. Finally only having to spend a couple of hours a week (including feedings) on maintenance and such, it has become a great pleasure. Actually, the worst task is cleaning the acrylic . I need to spend the money on a professional magnet cleaner. The X tra large mag float doesn't cut it on the 3/4 acrylic. Makes that task take too long. Any suggestions ?

A few shots taken tonight

*Welcome to Reef2Reef @Reefright !* Your aquarium is absolutely lovely.Have you tried using a old credit card on the acrylic? Try it on a back corner first. If you are very gentle it should not scratch the surface.

It's a beauty!

Welcome!

I love these shots of tanks from folks who have only been at this 6-12 months. It gives those of us who have yet to start their tank a lot of inspiration.

Cheers,

So I bought two new items... I wound up buying the mag float professional. It's cuts my cleaning time in half . I looked at a few magnets for 3/4 acrylic, and was a little shocked at the price . The mag float professional was $150 and is super strong. My next purchase was a 2 watt blue laser. I can't wait to post a video . Took care of a couple aptasia with needle Percision in just two sessions. In actually a little mind boggled lol.. It's a Rick Trent special lol.. I'll post some pics and a video when I get back from DC.
