Hi,

I'm looking for advice for this aquascape design. I'd like the left side to be higher and have an anemone on the right side. I know he could move. This will be a mixed reef. Possibly a zoagarden in the right bottom corner.

Scape looks decent, but a lot of that doesn’t look like reef rock. Looks more like freshwater rock

I told the fish stores they were for a reef tank. And the stores sell a lot of saltwater stuff. Will they cause problems?

Depends really. Where the rocks came from. What if any chemicals were used in the area. I think some rocks can leech things. Personally I wouldn’t use them, they don’t look like the right rock at all.

It's a bummer but thank you for pointing this out to me. I live in Michigan and these fish stores are no help. The one piece I got from world wide corals so I know that one is fine. The rest are probably trash.

You can order brs reef saver, Marco rocks, several options if dry is what your looking for. People sale rock on here all the time. Perhaps a reef forum that's local for you may have a sale section too. Just make sure it's porous and not fake concrete rock..also if buying secondhand make sure no chemicals i.e.copper or anything was run while in a tank
