200 to 250 Reef Tank

Looking to upgrade from my 125 gallon reef tank to a 200 to 225 tank.

If you havent already, check your local craigslist or facebook marketplace usually can find some good deals of tank break downs.

Yep, been keeping an eye out on FB Marketplace and craigslist for about a month. Seems most of the tanks for sale are 125 gallons or less and the bigger ones are sold as complete units for over a thousand. No real good local saltwater LFS within 2 hour drive.

For under a thousand your going to have to wait for someone to really need out. You'll also have to be willing to travel unless extremely lucky.

I just got lucky and found someone with a 1 year old 220 gallon for under $600.

Thanks - I looked at that one the other day. I passed because I was wanting to have pre-built in overflows.

Its a bit of a haul but if you get a chance check out the Corner Reef, they used to be in Columbia but recently moved across the river to St Louis. Steve the owner is a good guy and they always seem to have a lot of good stuff.
