Ok. I have the following fish in QT:
I consider them all pretty small.

Acanthuras - powder blue tang about 3"
Zebrasoma - Purple tang about 3"
Zebrasoma - desjardines sailfin about 3.5"
Zebrasoma - yellow tank about 2.5"
Ctenochaetus - Kole tang - about 2.5"

I would like to get some more fish for my stocking plan. I have options to place these fish in other tanks to ensure proper add order.

I would like some help with other fish to add. I would like a school or two or anthias and I'd like some wrasse. I have clowns because well ... I like them too. I just want to make sure they all can get along.

I've seen @evolved list of "compatible" types of flashers but I don't know what gets along with tangs. Does anyone have thoughts on wrasse types and anthias types that can get along with the tangs above? I'm open to other suggestions as well - gobies, blennies, basslets, etc.

Thanks in advance

3 squarebacks, Blonde Naso, Kole and Sailfin and about to add a harem of Japanese Seallowtail Angelfish.....
Oh almost forgot 5 pajama cardinals, 5 yellow chromis and a pair of Wyoming Whites all in a 300....

I'm sure this makes for a great color mix. I'd love to see pics. I don't think angelfish would work in my reef tank. I've never had a damsels due to their reputation of territorial meanness. I don't know much about them. I just looked up chromis. Pretty fish

This makes me happy. Thank you.

Anyone have experience with the great tang v anthias rumble? How do they get along? Particularly with my tangs? @melypr1985 or @Humblefish or @eatbreakfast

Not sure what tangs you have, but I have three lyretails in a tank with a mag fox and a yellow tang. They don't pay any attention to each other at all. I'm about to have 4 lyretails in a 180 with a purple tang and a yellow eye kole... i'll let you know how that goes :)

Excellent. I hope to hear soon how that goes.

Most tangs mix well with heterospecifics, but some notable exceptions come to my mind:
  • Acanthurus: I've seen Powder Blue, Clown & Sohal Tangs turn into absolute monsters. Even in large systems.
  • Ctenochaetus: My last Chevron went on a killing spree once he matured. Even tried to take out the "bottom dwellers" i.e. gobies & mandarins. I've seen similar, but less severe, aggression issues with Kole Tangs sometimes.
  • Zebrasoma: Yellow Tangs - love the look, hate the harassing attitude.

Thanks for the candor. It gives me no hope lol
I'm guessing that semi-aggressive species might be best with my mix instead of peaceful monikered ones.

I've experienced friction between my Bartlett's (one of the feistier) anthias and my flasher wrasses. I think the flashers may have been slowly bullied into non-existence . . .

More peaceful anthias should minimize that sort of thing for you.
