That's also the weekend for the big NE swap, so these are two you probably don't want to compete with, unless you have mainly local vendors that aren't going to those. Check around, you might be OK...

Thanks much for the info, have been hearing that those two are pretty big, we really don't want to compete with them. We are planning on discussing dates with a few vendors that are potentially, booking booths to get an idea of a good date for everyone. This event is for our vendors! So what ever is best for them will be best for us. We have a few weekends available that the convention center hasn't booked yet so we are taking those into account as well. We wanted to give a time frame for just in case we do decide to act upon them.

Ann Arbor, Michigan is also a Big Show the Same Weekend on 3-4

But there are no Frag Swaps on the Weekend of 5-26 (Yet)

Thanks much for the info, have been hearing that those two are pretty big, we really don't want to compete with them. We are planning on discussing dates with a few vendors that are potentially, booking booths to get an idea of a good date for everyone. This event is for our vendors! So what ever is best for them will be best for us. We have a few weekends available that the convention center hasn't booked yet so we are taking those into account as well. We wanted to give a time frame for just in case we do decide to act upon them.

Another Thing to Consider since it is your first time with the swap is it is always a good idea to have overnight set up the night before the frag swap rather than the morning of only. A lot of the bigger out of state vendors will not go unless they can set up the night before.

We already have that in action, we are reserving the space for 2 days for this reason. Day 1 for set up and acclimation and for everyone to get there things ready. We will have a block of rooms set aside for our vendors and hobbyist, we are still trying to figure out if we will be able to pay for the vendor rooms or a dinner for the overnight venue setup. Still working on this, hahaha. Day 2 will give vendors time to get final touches ready for the show that morning and then SHOW TIME at 11. We are trying to think of everything possible to make this event a smooth, worry free, successful, and most of all FUN....... event! When we started the planning we asked ourselves what we wished we could have had at other events and are brainstorming these ideas to put them into action. That being said, anything that you guys can think of LET US KNOW!!!!!! We want to hear your wants, thoughts, and ideas. No voice has went unnoticed, and we appreciate the comments, ideas, and insights provided so far. We monitor this sight for any and all input, so we can give you guys what you want!
