20g AIO chaeto nutrient export

Pretty simple question - can I actually grow enough chaeto in the refugium compartment of the integrated sump to move the needle on nutrient export? You see these giant external refugiums and it’s hard to think I can get that same effect with a 3 inch by six inch compartment.

how efficient is macro algae really for this or do I need a Ton of it for it to work?

Can be very efficient, BRS did a video series on chaeto removing nutrients, effective even in small spaces

Neat, not the answer I thought. I will go ahead with my master plan to stick a tiny chaetomax on there then!
