For my third and final downsize of the year (240G->54G->20G) I am setting up a waterbox 20g cube. I drilled the bottom because I don't like AIO's, plus I wanted the added water volume and place for a fuge. The tank will have all my high(er) end acros and a few prized zoa colonies I saved from the Reefer 250 breakdown. Will run a 2016 apex, DOS, and Radion XR30 G4 Pro + Diffuser.

The one thing I'm caught up on is flow. For my previous tanks I have only ran MP40's. I'm not sure what to run on this little guy, and am considering the following:

-1 MP10qd, back center
-1 Tunze 6055 on back right near return
-1K Gyre on back center

I love the Vortecs just because of how easy they are to clean, but other than that I'm open to options. Must be silent as I hate noise.

Thanks

I use a 1k icecape gyre on a 29 biocube, ultimately 18x18x16. 95% SPS and run it on pulse mode up to 40%. It's a great wavemaker

A Tunze 6040, a Random Flow Generator, and a Tunze 1073.050 return will turn my 25g cube into a Jacuzzi if I run them all at full whack.

@Johnson556, I didn't even notice this was you that posted. The icecap is a great little pump. I have one of the directors on the gyre facing up towards the water's surface, it creates a nice turbulent wave and the other is more of a straight shot across the tank. Can't really go wrong with any on the wavemakers that you've mentioned. I can send you a link to my google photos later showing the action of the pump if you want.

I bought one the reefbreeders wave maker for my 29 gallon frag tank and it’s pretty bad a55, especially for $130.
