Hi, my 20g finally cycle and I am ready to stock it. But the problem is that the size of the tank itself. I wish I had a much bigger tank so I can put tangs and bigger fishes. Right now I dont have the time and money to invest a bigger reef tank. So for a 20g, could you guys recommend me fishes that are 1.Active 2.Gets big, and reef safe. Could I even have a dwarf lionfish by itself? I've heard people having dwarf lions in 20gallons and have no problem, they just produce more bio-load.

I would not keep a dwarf lion it gets to large even for a 20 gal. A fish that gets big and in a small tank is not a good idea it will be highly stressed. Because you ask this question I am going to belive you are new to this so I recommend a pair of clowns and a cleaner shrimp. Wait one week. Add a ONE CAPTIVE BRED bangaii cardinals. it should be one because multiple will kill each other and the are endanged in the wild but easy captive bred. Wasn't one week then a a captive bred watchman goby. Captive bred because it will be much easier. With this combo bioload will be perfect and the tank is the right size and will give enjoyment to all levels of the tank
If you have a qt I would qt them all but if you don't, these are hardy fish that dont normally get sick so it could be ok. Hope this helps.:D

Get yourself a mated pair of clowns those are always great to watch and very active. I would stay away from the lion fish. They are like the piranha of the saltwater world everyone wants one and thinks they are cool until you have one and see they are nothing special. Get yourself some coral and pack that tank! thats the best part about small tanks you can really pack them quickly. Best of luck !

Pajama cards, clowns, gobies, chromis, firefish- all will give you plenty of color and nice movement in the tank. Small fish only.

I've got this little goby waiting to go into my 29. Really cool looking and fun to watch dart about.

Edit- Tigrigobius multifasciatus or green banded goby is the name.
