Very interesting everyone, thanks for you all's input, seems I would be fine with going to 20k but just slower growth. Someone told me that I would have to switch to 400W if I went with 20k's as it wouldn't be enough. Seems their were incorrect.

You do realize how much more usable light there is from a 400w 20k than from a 250w 20k lamp. Considerable difference.

I don't, but my fixture is for 250W so I won't be able to go to 400W
