yes. prob need three.. four would be best.

Ok I was going to try and get away with 3 maybe 2 kessai for shimmer but that's why I am asking this is my first saltwater tank and don't want to buy things twice
three should be fine. Check the spread on the website. Max is pretty good for that stuff and specs. Because of the higher power you can put them up a bit higher to gain more spread.
. Also it does shimmer as its a lensed multi chip led.
Oh, what you want to get is 100 par minimum on the sand bed.(a little more is better). So figure that into the estimate for the distance and height over the tank.
