Tank was originally setup in early 2012 and ran flawlessly for 4 years. The last year and a half things went down hill quickly. Having a 2 year old and a newborn unfortunately meant the tank took a back seat and I foolishly thought it was on autopilot. I guess I really didn't realize how much time and effort I was really putting in before having kids. Not an excuse as it was pure neglect on my part but such is life. Water parameters got pretty bad and I ended up with some substantial coral and fish losses. At the same time I also had an outbreak of Borneman Anemones. I had one which turned into 2 which turned into 100. No joke, I pulled out well over 100 of these things. All of the sand and 90% of the rock was replaced back in early August. Got rid of my original mp40 and replaced it with an mp40QD on each end of the tank. Redid my sump and added an ATO to keep my skimmer more consistent. Had a diatom outbreak as the tank mini-cycled due to the sand and rock swap but those are starting to diminish finally. Here are a few photos of the tank its its former glory, a shot right before the reboot, and current day as it starts to rebuild and settle back in. I will add some updated photos as we go to document the progress as it starts to grow again.

Looks like you're on the path back to success! With the right techniques and technology we're getting closer and closer to full automation with our systems. Good luck!

A little update.... Everything is growing in nicely. I have not lost any fish or corals since November. Water parameters have been stable and have really been keeping an eye on nitrates. Added a 4th light as well to get a little better coverage.

Updated FTS. Seeing good growth and more importantly, stable parameters. Most of the filtration and plumbing has been redone in the last month as well just to simplify things.

**Edit: Just realized it has been exactly one year since the rebirth.
