210 gallon w/ fish room frag tanks

Hello
So I had a 6ft 125 gallon mix reef for a few years.
That tank was doing really good. We moved so I had to tear
Down my tank. I was able to save a few fish from my last setup but all coral were sold locally.

My new house had an unfinished basement.
The ceiling was low but I am able to stand.
The basement had enough electrical plugs and
I already had a utility sink.

This thread is documenting the build.
The room is done.

I decided to put tiles down on the floor.
We put Durock Sheets for 1/2 of the wall and
Mold resistant Sheetrock for the ceiling and walls.
The floor was cement slab.

I was able to fit a 6ft tank between the two support beams
I wish I could have put a longer tank but that’s all the space I had. The biggest tank I can buy is a 210 gallon

Very nice. Good call on the cement backer board over the lower walls, no mold to worry about that way. Looks like you did a nice job on the tiles too (I’m a tile setter by trade so I alway notice floors and tile stuff)

I personally didn’t do the work. My dad and uncle are in construction so they did the heavy lifting.

I have a BRS 75 gallon a day 7 stage RODi unit.
So it will take forever to fill the tank.

I was able to setup a temporary sump until I can setup
The frag tanks. I decided to add sand. I thought about going bare bottom but I don’t like that look.
I transferred my fish from the frag tanks.

My tank fish are
Blue hippo tang
Yellow tang
Powder blue tang
Sailfin tang
1 Fat blue chromis
2 clowns

It was time to build the frag tank stands.
I kept it simple. I put all 3 frag tanks and the 210
To one 100 gallon sump.

I setup a separate frag tank for quarantine.
I will be buying a lot of corals in the up coming weeks
So my plan is to place them in this tank 1st for observation for 30days.
