21ledusa vs Reef Brite vs SBreef

I had the 48” Reefbrite Tech non-xho for about 5 years. Then replaced it recently with an sbar. Wow your xho pic looks super bright is it that much brighter or just cause of the wider lens spread? The UV purple led on the sbar does bring out a nicer glow than just blues. Because of the different lens, it penetrates deeper but less spread. I would say single Reefbrite covered my 24” width well, and the sbar only like 12-14” width.

Here are photos of my 5 year old Reefbrite Tech vs sBar.

I setup my 48” frag tank, and went with two eBay led bars about $60 each. Since it’s a shallow tank, it does the job. Plus it mounts directly to my ATI.

I have the xho now and yes it's a nuke stick with great spread. What are the two $60 bars you found on ebay for that ati, they look just like sbars?

I think it came from the same manufacturer. Just like the evergrow led black box. People can buy it snd rebrand however they want. Some chose to sell as is while other like sb reef light modify it to better spectrum etc. i could be wrong tho but feel free to correct me if i am.

Check my new post in the general forum for the par testing on these.

These are the eBay ones. They are only blues with wider spread lens. Sbar has the purple uv and more focused lens.

Interesting, super cheap, even more than 21ledusa. I'd be concerned about safety /heat from power supplies or some other short comings. Interesting that all the blues are 470nm. Sbar uses 450nm plus the 420nm violets. Reef Brite doesn't disclose bur likely 450 as well or near.

Let us know how they work out. Easy to mount to your ati?

I agree, however I guarantee the drivers are low quality otherwise the seller would be losing money on the fixture. The leds are also likely bridgelux instead of Cree and the lenses may even be worse as well. Having said that, they are cheap and probably still give good pop, although 450nm is better than 470nm ime. Great budget offering, unless they are dangerous which may be the case if they have a Chinese power supply which is not UL listed.

Yeah like i sai before, probably same manufacturer from sb bar except sb bar maybe mod it. When i bought my sb reef bar, it wss shipped from china

Mounting to ATI was easy. I just used the included brackets and used the existing ATI corner cover bolts, although I added a washer to each one. Also, be careful not to over tighten you may strip the threads in the ATI aluminum.

That's nice that it lines up with the existing screws. Unfortunately I know from experience that you can strip the holes for the screws very easily. I ended up using a lock nut on the inside of the fixture for my reef Brite mount

I have a wuestion for the reef brite xho owners. I have a 220 gallon reef 6’ x 24” x 29” tank with a geismann infinity fixture. I has 3 250w hqi 14k phoenix bulbs and 4 80w t5’s. I get no “pop” at all from my corals and im wanting to install atleast one reefbrite bar onto my geismann unit. Will one xho reefbrite be enough to get this pop? Or will two of them be needed?

The reefbrite may not be powerful enough to give you that pop while the other lights are also on.

I run an xho with my 6 bulb ATI and it the difference from the led strip isn't much.

I installed my Reefbrite 72" XHO fixture a week ago onto my geisemann infinity light fixture. The change it made to the corals "glow" is amazing!! the colors pop and I'm very impressed. I also changed all 4 of my t5 bulbs to ATI Blue + and this gives it the nice deep blue I was looking for. Before I had 2 coral + bulbs and 2 actinic plus bulbs and the tank had a weird redish blue tone to it. Nothing glowed or popped either..
