22 gallon Sumpless DREAM BUILD!

Ato is complete. Love how well everything fits and how little the pump is for the ato.

Hmmmm either sump or quarrentine,
Imma have to go with quarrentine, cause the name of the build includes “sumpless”......

whoops never mind I’d dint see the post after that.... didn’t even think bout an ato! ( are you going to be putting a lid on that??

Hahaha no room for any other tanks. I’m shocked how perfectly that 5 gallon fit. I really should put a lid on it but at the moment there is no lid.

It’s been a little bit of time since everyone has heard from me but that’s because I was waiting on the rock from kp aquatics. It’s been delayed for two weeks due to weather so I didn’t mind since that happens. But FINALLY TODAY I RECEIVED IT!!!!!

Feedback:
Overall really happy with the rock! It did unfortunately have a couple pieces that had a little bubble algae but all the life on the rock was incredible. I genuinely loved receiving all the cool and different sized pieces and I only ordered 15 pounds! As the days progress I will continue you to add more feedback.

Day 2 update on the rock. Last night I preformed my first 5 gallon water change. Today ammonia was around .5 to 1ppm so I went ahead and did another 5 gallon water change today in the morning. Water was a little cloudy prior to the rock so it isn’t anything that I’m too worried about.

Day 3 update. Ammonia still around 1ppm. Performed another 5 gallon water change. Positive is the water is getting much clearer.

Day 6 update. I decided to finally add the sand (Fiji pink) yesterday and then waited to today to do a 10 gallon water change. There was almost a film all over the rocks. Almost seemed like it was due to the added sand. Should go away within a few days.

Finally was able to bring my two nemos home who have been in a holding tank. They have been with me for around 8 years so partially got a tank because somehow I couldn’t let go of them. Funny how we can get attached to fish haha.

I have a Yellow tail Damsel.. and a Yellow tang. Been with me maybe 8 years, they have been through many moves and tanks! Now with a big family of fish. You wouldn't believe what these guys have survived!

Your build looks great!! Awesome job. Keep it up

thank you!!! Funny story about crazy things. The originally clownfish in the photos was my first clownfish I ever bought. I then gifted to my mom when I gifted her a 50 gallon sca tank. After a about 3 years it she told me it went missing. I came over and we thought maybe it died and one of the shrimp ate over time and she just never noticed. A year after that we were tearing the tank down and that clownfish appeared to be in the tiny back camber of the overflow this entire time. After that I knew I could never get rid of this fish.

Decided to pick up 4 trochus snails, a bumble snail and a nassarius snail. Not much but never a fan a huge clean up crew. Also this was from a new place so I wanted to see how they did.

Haven’t updated much but definitely a lot has happened. Had an algae bloom that was expected but the snails plus a few Mexican turbos snails took care of it.
