220 gallon reef setup... Stand question

I am setting up a new reef setup and The stand that I ordered had a solid top that the tank will sit on. My tank has both corner overflows... Can I drill holes for the plumbing into the stand?

Make sure that when you drill/cut the holes for your drain/return lines that you can get to the nuts with the tank in place. Just in case you have a leak or need to do a repair later on down the road.
