I got a used set up and the lights come on for about 2 seconds then go off so I think the ballast is bad. This is the equipment I have I’m not sure if I should buy a new ballast or get a new light system. Any help is great!!!

And, just like that, I no longer have said ballast. Apparently, I gave my wife permission to dispose of some arbitrary boxes in the garage and it seems it was in one of them.;Blackeye

Negative. Those ballasts will work on up to four- 4' bulbs.

I have 4 of them 2 660 an 2 430's they are amazing ballasts run forever if taken care of.
I sent back a 660 after being used for 12 years the fuse holder on the side melted cant remember how much they charged em it was a flat fee to repair it.
The repair guy commented on how nice it looked and asked me if I actually used the ballast LOL for what one of those cost it needs t be taken care of correctly!
